What an AWESOME experience it was to ride support on the bike ride at St James. Watching the women start with smiles but some trepidation then go on to finish the challenge with huge smiles and a few "I can't believe I just did that." from different people at then end. There are no words to describe the joy I felt at their accomplishment.
Thank you Deb and Bob for allowing me to be a part of this event. A bunch of ladies have a huge fan in Slacker Chick Who Rides At the Back!!

Kayaking---Rumor has it Bob serenaded the ladies. Now HOW on earth did I miss this experience??? The smiles on the faces of the women as they told me of his crooning. Who knew!!
Two of my favorite memories of the trip was on Friday evening at Winding River. I looked up from the table where I was sitting to see Bob gently leading his Marine--Erica--around the dance floor in the style of a father/daughter dance from long ago. Priceless is that memory to me.
The other memory is as we were leaving this wonderful supportive event...I pulled back and waited by the doors and quietly listened to sounds that filled my heart with joy. The sound of women laughing in unison as they made their way to their transportation. The joy in the air was so precious to hear from those who have dealt with so much.
God Bless and keep you in the palm of his hand.

I was not on the ride but I have only heard great things about it. Ladies we all support what you do and even though you are going thru a hard time, trust me, it gets better. It just takes time and patience. Just keep surrounding yourself with great people like bob and deb and all will be ok.
