                Bob and Debra Racine

                Picture
Bob and Debra Racine have been volunteering for "Wounded Warrior" events since 2005.  Very early on in their volunteering, adaptive cycling presented itself as a tool for recreation and rehabilitation.  After hearing so many Warriors say "If I can do that, I can do anything", Bob and Debra were hooked on multi-day cycling events.  The opportunity for the Warriors to have fun, be with their peers, be honored and be physically challenged is a magic formula for some of our wounded. Adapting bicycles to injuries, (i.e. no legs, pedal with your arms, or blind ride tandem) is challenging, but it works.

Bob served several tours in Vietnam as a U.S. Marine.  After being mistreated and receiving zero honor from the American Public upon his returns from Vietnam, Bob promised himself that if there ever was another war, that he would be in the forefront of welcoming home our defenders of freedom.
Anything to say "Thank you" to our nation's veterans.  So that is just what Bob and Debra do.

"This our life work, our personal ministry, and one of the greatest joys of our life.  Come and join us for our October ride in Southeastern North Carolina and share our joy."
